Coming down the road very soon …
The Covid crisis has affected a lot of things and I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a little tired of hearing and reading the endless reports about what’s going on whereas a result. So here’s a little good news … this very same crisis has resulted in us bringing forward a project that we had been thinking about for a while now: the Values and Skills Activity Planner online assessment.
Combining the best of two well-known and respected tools: the Values and Skills Cards and the Career Activity Planner workbook, both produced by the Winnipeg Transition Centre, this online tool provides far more than static “results;” it is a self-exploration guide to next steps, including identifying transferable skills and setting short and long term, realistic goals, along possible career pathways. And, as an added bonus, your clients can download their report and continue to record their action steps in it well beyond when they actually took the assessment. Making this a truly interactive report.
If I sound excited about this it’s because I am. First and foremost, in building CLSR I’ve always tried to provide “where the rubber hits the road” resources for career development professionals to use with their clients and this most definitely is in that category. And secondly, something good has come out of Covid!
Watch for the sample report on clsr.ca in the next couple of weeks. Not sure if it’s “where the rubber hits the road” for your clients? Ask to take a trial run, with our compliments.
Oh, and stay tuned … a little further along the road, just about on the horizon, are a couple more practical, new resources … more about that as they come into view…
Yours, from the back office …
